Some variants of poker require each player to make a contribution to the pot before the deal. This may either be an ante, which is an amount of money that each player puts into the pot before the first bet, or a fixed amount of money.<\/p>\n
In a normal betting round, each player bets and the turn passes from player to player. The betting interval ends when the last bet is placed.<\/p>\n
A side pot is a separate pool of money that can be won by different players. There is also a central pot that contains all of the bets made during the same deal.<\/p>\n
Before each betting round, each player has the option of raising, calling, or folding. When a player raises, they increase the amount of money that they are willing to put into the pot. On the other hand, a call is when the player makes a bet that is the same as the previous bettor’s.<\/p>\n
Poker can be played by any number of people, but the ideal number is six or eight. Typically, a game is played with two decks of cards, which are either face up or face down.
